- I homeschool my two boys, age 11 and 12. My family is moving to Birmingham soon so that my husband will have less of a commute. We have been homeschooling in a secluded, RURAL environment on Lake Martin so we are both excited and apprehensive about moving to the BIG CITY. We have not bought a home yet. Any suggestions about great or not so great areas for homeschoolers?
